International Green IT Awareness Week is all about taking action in your corporate or home environment on Green IT.  One of Australia’s biggest banks, National Australia Bank (NAB), is leading the charge with a range of activities during Green IT Week (1-7 June 2010).

Glenn Allan, Platform Specialist at NAB, will be presenting at the Green IT Week Virtual Event, which is running from 1-3 June 2010, on how their organisation achieved significant energy and carbon savings with Trigeneration in their data centre.

However NAB are taking Green IT Week one step further – they have also developed an internal program to help promote the initiative that includes:

  • Promoting Green IT week and internal presentations through e-mail.
  • Promoting Green IT week through Yammer (NAB's internal networking tool)
  • Promoting Green IT week and Virtualisation initiative using posters.
  • Launching a 'Green Hub' intranet site, with Green IT week information.
  • Holding presentations during Green IT week.

What a fantastic example!
